Are you being heard?

July 25th, 2017

A little bit of history… The word audit is derived from a Latin word “audire” which means “to hear”. During the medieval times when manual book-keeping was prevalent, auditors used to hear the accounts read out for them and checked that the organisation’s personnel were not negligent or fraudulent.

These days, auditors are frequently able to examine accounts and records using internet-based auditing software and holding discussions by email. This is good, it is progress. But there is still a vital role for good old fashioned verbal discussion and the need to listen. Are you being listened to?

A good audit doesn’t just provide you with an opinion on paper. A good audit adds value.

A good auditor listens to you. And when we listen to you, we learn about your business from the people that know it best.

A good audit provides you with information that you can make use of, be it to confirm to your stakeholders that your business is well-run, properly controlled and financially secure; or be it to make real improvements to mitigate risk and create efficiencies.

We take time to listen to our clients.

Baldwins Audit Services is growing, we want to tell you about our plans and we hope you’ll listen. If you’d like to talk to us about our audit services or any of our vast range of other service offerings, please get in touch.
